Each wooden piece is 2.5 in diameter or 25mm, perfect size for gripping.  They are 13cm long, making them fit inside your hands easily.  The slit is 1.5mm and works best with string between 1.5mm and 3mm.  It is recommended to wrap the string at least twice before pulling to tighten your creations.
